The Sport Business Nordic client, Daniel Berta, has launched a website - www.danielberta.com
Daniel Berta is one of Sweden’s most promising young professional tennis players. With a track record that consists of his wins in the 2009 Junior Roland Garros and the 2009 Junior European Team Championships, this former Junior World No.1 is now really focused on continue paving the way towards the top with a 2011-spring schedule that will take him to competitions all over Europe.

2011 is all about improving all parts of my game and hopefully getting a position as one of the top 400 players in the world" says 18-year old Daniel Berta.

And after three ITF sanctioned Futures tournaments in Turkey, this March, he is comfortable with the practice and the preparations that he has undergone this winter. So far this year, Daniel Berta has competed in five ITF Futures tournaments and has a ATP world ranking position of 803.

About Daniel Berta


Daniel Berta was born on November 26, 1992 in Helsingborg, Sweden.

Daniel started to play tennis at the age of four with his father on the nearby courts in his hometown of Helsingborg, Sweden.

Daniel Berta’s mother club was the Helsingborg based club – IS Göta – and competed in many international tennis tournaments at the tender age of 11. In 2006, Daniel Berta was awarded a scholarship by Stefan Edberg and in 2007 Daniel changed club to Helsingborg’s Tennis Club.

Daniel was selected for the Swedish Davis Cup team when the five-man team played against Israel, 6-8 March 2009. Daniel gained valuable experience practicing with the team. In 2009 Daniel became the first Swede in 25 years to win the Boys’ Singles event at the French Open. Daniel represented Sweden in the 2009 European Team Championships and won the gold medal. Daniel is coached by Jon Hedman and is attached to Upsala Tennis Klubb.  

At the annual ITF World Champions Dinner on 1 June 2010, in Paris, France, Daniel Berta received the award for becoming the 2009 ITF Junior World Champion.
